Veterans Day

Procession – 10:15 a.m.

Montgomery Township will celebrate and honor Veterans Day, starting with a procession that will commence at 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Harlingen Rd. and Devon Dr. and end at Montgomery Veterans Park. 

Ceremony – 10:30 a.m.
The procession will be followed by a ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial. The celebration will include historical military displays, the Presentation of Colors by the Boy and Girl Scouts, recognition of veterans present, readings from Montgomery Lower Middle School students, musical selections by the Montgomery High School Band, Rifle Salute by the American Legion Post 339 and the playing of Taps. 

Speakers will include Mayor Devra Keenan, Harlingen Church Pastor Christopher Heitkamp, retired Army Col. John A. Bivona, Montgomery Lower Middle School Principal Lisa Romano, Mike Maloney of Rolling Thunder and Montgomery Veterans Memorial Committee Chair Dimitra Bairaktaris. 

Alternate Rain Plan
In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center (MPAC), located at Montgomery High School, 1016 Rt. 601, Skillman. An announcement will be made on the township website and Facebook page.
