9-11 Monument

There will be two separate events, one in the morning and one in the evening to foster remembrance and quiet reflection on the tragic events of the day as well as the bravery displayed by those who responded to the attack.  Civic leaders, students, and scouts will be among those in attendance. All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Montgomery Veterans Memorial Committee volunteer staff will be available to answer questions on Wednesday, September 11th at 8:30 AM and again at 6:30 PM.  This is also a time of education, when those who do not remember that day can learn about the occurrence and how it impacted specific lives, their loved ones, and indeed, all of America.

The recently improved 9-11 Memorial site is also available daily during park hours to any respectful visitors.  This event, Veterans Day event (11-11-19 @ 4:30 PM), Memorial Day, and all events held at the Montgomery Veterans Memorial are organized by the Montgomery Veterans Memorial Committee. * Please note that Harlingen Road is now completely closed due to bridge work near the LOWER Montgomery Veterans Park entrance.  To access the observances at the 9-11 Memorial next to the Upper Parking lot area, we recommend approaching from Devon Road / Rt. 206.
